C&D Third-party Verification

The repurposing of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste materials contributes to the preservation of raw resources for future use. The recycling of C&D waste is an expanding sector, bolstered by programs like the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, as well as state and local regulations that encourage the retrieval of C&D materials.

Stakeholder groups are seeking more transparency and verification of recovery and recycling rates from C&D recycling facilities. In response to this need, Edgar and Associates C&D protocol was established to provide reliable reporting. EA follows the National Standard CORR Protocol, which is the sole third-party certification protocol for C&D facilities developed to ISO-level standards.
