CEQA & Land Use
Use Permit Applications
Edgar & Associates guides you through the requirements of complying with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) associated with submitting new or revised solid waste facility permitting.
Solid Waste Facility Permits (SWFP) follow a tiered regulatory structure which became effective in 1994. There are now five tiers, including the original “full” tier which provides the greatest level of CalRecycle review and oversight. Permit tiers include: Full, Standardized, Registration, Notification, and Excluded.
See our Projects page for a selection of clients who have used our services to navigate complicated permitting processes.
EIR Project Proponents
There are a number of variations in an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), as the reports are tailored to different situations and intended uses. These variations are not exclusive. Edgar & Associates can help inform your report according to your specific needs and intended use, consistent with the requirements of Article 9 beginning with Section 15120 of the California Code of Regulations.
CEQA Technical Studies
Edgar & Associates prepares and directs CEQA Technical Studies to enable facilities in meeting jurisdictional diversion requirements and goals. These include an evaluation of current operational practices, projections of community waste generation, evaluation of technologies and permitting requirements and operational goal setting. See our Projects page for a selection of clients we have assisted with CEQA Technical Studies, as well as a number of other aspects of master planning.
